Allgood is definitely sweating it out!! I almost feel sorry for him. I think somewhere in there he had somewhat good intentions.

It seems the trouble with Allgood is that he’s a firm believer in his ways, the old ways. Not saying Jacob’s extremist change is correct, but I always believe Allgood was doing what he thought would be best in the long run. Unfortunately he has become a pawn like many others in whatever game is being played here.

Its increasingly clear that this is way beyond anything Allgood might have planned. At the same time, while much of the action might be playing into Velda’s (sp?) plot, the rats and how they respond could still be the key to the future of Endtown. If they can figure out that they’re being played as well, and can’t hide behind “just following orders” (knowing those orders were unlawful), they might well become the saviors of Endtown and a terrible wrath on Velda and any co-conspiritors.

And to answer one of the questions from yesterday – no, the courtroom doesn’t have a video feed from outside. But I think we now know why the High Council refused to allow the press or other outsiders from sitting in the courtroom – to maximize the downstairs body count.

Hmmm lets see: Jacob and Octavius in a locked room overnight, both hate each other, massively oppisite sides of the coin, possibly no sleep, Jacob possibly running out of smokes….oh yeah, better than the trial! They’ll either kill each other or cooperate eventually.

Allgood looks worried. (OBVIOUSLY)That look reminds me of a StarWars scene. When the Guild made the bargain with the Dark Lord.“We should not made that bargain.”Allgood knows who he is up against. Now he realizes he is just a pawn like he was all the time.He was never running anything to begin with but he felt he did.Allgood better hope Jake don’t run out of smokes. The suspense is intense. I hope it lasts.

For those interested check out the new teaser for the new Call of Duty Ghosts coming out in November.GameStop and Call of Duty have links to it. Its called “Masks” No violence or blood.I contacted a friend of mine who works with them and reminded him they forgot one. A SpecOps wearing his camo face paint. Before we used pull overs we used camo face paint. Old School.

“If Jacob was part of one of the conspiracies, he would be wise to avoid tipping Allgood off to that little fact.”Why? With the High Council backing him, Velda at the door controls, and the rats just outside, there’d be nothing Allgood could do. One question is whether Jake would want the TV cameras to still be running, and whether they actually are. But, if there were some kind of communication between Jacob and Velda or the HC, he could be keeping up with the activities outside and he’d be able to spring his surprise on Octavius whenever he wanted to.

Andy Grove, former head of Intel, in his book “Only the Paranoid Survive”, talked about the information vacuum that surrounds the CEO’s of big corporations. All the VPs are afraid of making the CEO angry, so they filter out bad news, and act solely as “yes men”. The result is that the CEO is in a state of artificial optimism all the time, and fails to have a grasp of reality. This cocoon is really hard to break out of, because the VPs actively work to keep the CEO away from everyone else in the company, buffering opinions and brushing off criticism from the press.Allgood is in that cocoon. The shock when he steps out of it may give him a heart attack.

TSOJ,That style of release would figure. Lots of companies do that now. COD does theirs on November. Usually on the first Tuesday of the Month.I don’t know if you are a gamer but the two sided poster they put out for this release is just the bomb. It rivals Black Op II.If you have not done it yet check out the new Replacer video and the Teaser trailer called “Masks”. The Replacer is hilarious. “Masks” is just awesome. Even reference Samuris and Ninjas. And Dora thinks I am creepy she should check out the Replacer. Later.

I think he was using syria as a reference to a popular revolt against the current regime. What happened in Algeria and Tunisia might be a better comparison to what is happening in Endtown between the HC and the people of the city.

Really when you think about it WHAT does the Council control? They have the ability to give orders but what do they control DIRECTLY?I think they directly control very little.Their personal controls on the sets. But very little else. If they could control all of Endtown by flicking switches they would have no reason to use the Rats at all. They could just take over. So what matters now is do those continue to take orders or refuse what the Council orders. The doors were probably automatic once the alarms are sounded. The Rats knew to go quickly before the doors shut them in also.We have a secure area in level three sub-basement at our main HQ in Austin. When the alarm sounds you have 10 seconds before door auto shuts. Once in you can only open the door when the open code is entered by both sides. One code will not do it. These doors in Endtown are probably centrally controlled. Same place where we first saw Velda eyeing her new victims. So I don’t believe the Council has so much actual physical control but ALOT of INFLUENCE.

JanBic,If you find out let me know. VERY INTERESTED!Will go great with my Autographed Tumbleweeds book. And of course my two pieces of d’art.Tekara,ALREADY THERE!!!!!!!!!!Dora,Mr. Neathery already did better than that. Her rise from the pond sans clothing. My favorites are her for Christmas as a Gift and the first one. Blind Date. Full evening wear. It was before her fall from grace so to say.Now when I look upon that face I can see her hurting in more ways than one.You can’t compare to HER. Don’t even go there. I am nice but others may turn on you to no end. \Flask is one of those best left alone.I don’t know if he has done that one in print. That one is still my favorite and graces the wall in my patrol room. I’m getting the other one framed this week. The Christmas one is a bit how to say “Sexy”. Maybe for the private man cave room but a public office a bit much. I have to careful about things like that. Also on my wall with some things from Ballard Street and one a Marine sent me. FM21-76 Dept of Army Field Manual “US Army Survival Guide” (Page 1) “CALL THE MARINES”. Oct 1970.Turned it right on him. He is right. That’s how the ARMY learned to survive. Send the Marines in first to see if it is dangerous. If it is we will CALL you some help.

“Hey, if he can draw (ugh) cigarette-smoking bunnies and alcoholic swilling alligators”

Dora, just be careful of the use of UGH.It could misconstrued you mean draw (he draws terrible) or draw (you just don’t like smoking bunnies and drinking gators)I would have used UGH after what I did not like not before. Mr. Neathery can draw. He draws life. Smoking bunnies and drinking gators just have to be tolerated.

Dora,Actually Flask never intended to be a psychopath. She probably saw herself as an avenging angel, repaying the Topsiders for the things they did to her and her lover.By the way, why do you call Flask a “cat-freak”? If you think about it, one of the themes of this comic is humanity and how much of it people retain even as their form changes, whether it be to a statuesque cat woman or an overgrown box on tank treads.
