I still think Brontosaurus is a cooler name than Apatosaurus.

The idea of Fred Flintstone eating an apatoburger is just wrong.

I am Mike Drake…and I can assure you I don’t have too much free time. I should clarify that I only use my own nail clippings though, that is why I only make 1 per year.

Actually, a Camarasaurus skull from the same find was made part of an Apatasaurus skeleton early on and the mistake wasn’t discovered for years. The name Apatosaurus came first in the naming in the rivalry between Cope and Osborn, so once that was determined that name had to be the official one.

Apatosaurus is one of the Diplodocids, heavier and shorter, than Diplodocus.

It wasn’t a mistake to put the Camarasaurus skull on the Apatasaurus, it was and is a common thing to do with incomplete skeletons where the missing parts are unknown.

Its hilarious watching man trying to explain God’s creation through evolution, especially anything to do with the fossil record. Every new bone and the record was incorrect and needs to be rewritten.

Brontosaurus? Makes you wonder how many other ones they have got wrong as well. The size of some of them is beyond belief. The food into even for a cold blooded animal would have been tons per day. It would have to have been eating almost round the clock. And the weight. They would have to had walked only on solid rock of sink up in the ground with every step.

Hundreds of nail clippings? All made from his own fingers? With his own fingers? One paperweight a year? How many fingers does he have? I have to trim mine maybe every two weeks. So, 26 times a year. Two hundred and sixty fingernail, um, clips. Even for the past decade that’s still only 2,600. You’d have to trim them to the nub to be able to get enough to make a decent paperweight. And what do you do with them? Give them to friends and loved ones? So that they can conduct voodoo experiments and steal your soul? Dr. Drake, you Sir, are a mystery. This is one of those times when I choose not to believe Mr. Ripley.

I read that leaches are useful some of the time. Something to do with promoting increased blood flow when reattaching fingers, etc.
