Daedalus/Sedulous?
Not a perfect rhyme, but better poets have used worse.I’ll play with it (and “credulous” as well).

Try “settle us” If Ogden Nash can use near rhyme. Mr. Joyce won’t mind/mine.

Of course, the nearness of the rhymes depends on how you pronounce “Dedalus.” I’ve always gone with “DAY-da-lus”, the same way I pronounce his mythical forebear, Daedalus (hence my initial spelling, written before I checked). But do others pronounce it “DED-a-lus”? I suppose one might even rhyme it with “needle us”, which raises some interesting possibilities.
And yeah, Joyce would probably be OK with any of ’em…
