Looks like he’s feeling pretty blue about it.

Or maybe they just don’t know how to interact with their own children anymore… or not trying/putting in any effort at all.

I feel that way every day, as the bus brings me to Camp Work.

Do queen snakes also get sent to camp?

Cooncat, I used to think Schulz made up queen snakes, but it turns out they’re real. It’s a harmless water snakes found in the eastern US and southeast Canada.

Assuming a Minnesota locale for Peanuts, Linus must be being sent a good distance if he’s going to be around queen snakes.

Linus wouldn’t want to meet the very real King Brown Snake in Oz. They’re very poisonous.

Its not fair is it Linus hope you sneaked your blankie in your bag.

I have been reading “queen snakes” as “green snakes”. Had to go back and look. Funny how your brain plays tricks on what you read.

Occasionally, parents will send their kids to camp for "enrichment,’ social skills, independence, and to build respect for and a relationship with nature. I made some great friends at camp, a few of whom I have managed to keep in contact with. I also developed my self-confidence through my experiences at camp. Linus, you will have loads of fun, and the new friends you make will help you forget about the queen snakes.

I hated Camp Sylvan for the first 5 days. Then I didn’t want to go home on day 14. Some of us kids would “tie” ourselves to the posts with our shoe laces. LOL

He wouldn’t be on that bus if it wasn’t for Lucy being the little brat she is.

I’m pretty sure our parents sent us to camp so they could have a break for a couple of weeks, LOL (there were 4 of us kids) -since there was swimming, horses, and campfires every day, we didn’t really mind.

After all, Charlie Brown survived it. You might meet a ‘lonesome’ friend too like I said the other day.

I hope your blanket attacks Lucy again… It will serve her right!

I wonder where they would send Lucy..Military school?

The only summer camp I’ve been to was one in primary school, plus a winter camp in Boys Scouts. I’ve never been to a summer camp in the woods, though. But I assume it’s a fun experience.

What could be worse than being “chomped” by a San Francisco queen snake?
