Calendars get repeated twice every 14 years; in 400 years it will repeat 57 times, not just once. . . . also in 400 years from now, another second will be added to the ‘Calendar’. so that’s not absolutely correct, either. Perhaps some new AC Writers can get a date on ANY Calendar?!? It’s overdue.
Before i post a Classic Todai, i want to warn People there MIGHT be some language/imagery some might find some offensive in.OK You’ve been warned.Find any? ;)
They started closing the pubs in WW I so the munitions workers would go back to work. I hear they have recently repealed that law, and pubs open and close whenever they please.
There are 14 variants of the calendar: Jan 1st falling on Sunday thru Saturday, leap years and non leap years. The calendar repeats on a semi-regular cycle with intervals of 6 and 11 years.
while there are 14 different calendars, 7 days a week, with and without leap year, there are other times when it gets adjusted, because it is not perfect – the year 2000 should have been a leap year, but was not, to make an adjustment. In order to go back to an exact match, it would have been so long ago, that the speed of the earth around the sun was different than today
Thanks. I did. I got my garden in today, finally !Put up my string fencing to keep deer at bay and laid down the carpet rem. fragments as a weed barrier. I think my timer is hinky and will look at it tomorrow. Started at 7:30 AM and worked ‘til 1:30 PM. Stopped to do some hand weeding around the two properties and went out to get a little more dumpster carpeting to finish the ground cover. I finally stopped about 6 or so. The weather was cool and I worked at an easy pace. What a load off to have that done !
I think one can handle the “Redd” humour without having to talk that way themselves.A Mama’s Family episode, as promised.
Happy finally Friday
That episode of ’Mama’s Family’ was EXCELLENT! I enjoyed it very much. I love all the characters and the introduction was quite awesome.
I loved the dresses they were wearing at the beginning when they had just came back from the wedding. My favourite part was when he kept mentioning his ex wife, Samantha (In the daydream) and Mama was getting haunted by her every time she was mentioned.
It cracked me up. Thank you for the episode.
And I’m glad you managed to get your garden finished and everything else.
BTW Dept.:I’m reading Candide, ou l’Optimisme [optimism][in English] presently, and It’s fantastically entertaining. Volatire has to be the French Willie Stratford, or summat. it deals with Man’s inhumanity to Man, and the attitudes toward, and ‘justification’ for Our atrocity. Andy has no problem with repeating, because . . . . . . He only has to tell Florrie ONCE.see? I can do it too!

I think He’s insulting Her, obviously, but not the USA usage of that word, Yes. So She’s burnt-out, crumpled, and disposable, or summat.

Looks like today’s topic is changing calendars. All you need is one of these. It never changes.

BTW I’ve been gone for about the last 12 days and nobody noticed. My feelings are terribly hurt. I may never be the same again.

Fifteen minutes!? I doubt seriously it takes Andy 15 minutes to drain a pint. Fifteen seconds is more like it!
