Ah yes, Tai Chi. I once came upon a man in the park in a Tai Chi squatting pose, arms raised karate-style, an earnest expression on his face. Right next to him was his dog, taking a dump and with the exact same earnest expression on his face, staring at the same point on the horizon. God, I wished I’d had a camera on me at that moment.

Funny, I was thinking that this the first time I can remembering him drawing her in a bikini in a long time and how wonderful she looks.

If you have a proportioned body, you look fine in a bikini. She looks great in it, just the way she is!

bawana, you are what’s wrong with the world today. First of all, IT’S A CARTOON!! And secondly, she is plenty “thing”. Thirdly, you don’t get to decide who should and shouldn’t wear a bikini. Get over thyself.

Her stomach gains about 5 pounds in each panel.

This is neat! But! what has happened to the kids???? Up -Date time!

Janis used to be insecure in past years about bathing suit season. nice she is more comfortable about her appearance or just doesn’t give a darn. of course some are correct about the fact not everyone dresses appropriately. i am sure we have all seen people wearing tube tops, halters, thongs and other apparel who should not have. there is the issue of why she needs to dress like that to do her exercise. she couldn’t wear gym shorts and a t shirt? is she showing off for Arlo or a neighbor?

Arlo looks like popeye, why isn’t he smiling? To those criticizing Janis, I’ll add my two cents….she’s a comic, she looks great, are you perfect? I know I’m not.

Maybe Arlo was taking a little stroll on the sidewalk on the other side of the hedge? Then God and everybody could see Janice, too.

If you want to draw Janice in a bikini – which many of us appreciate – just draw a new cartoon. Don’t recycle the one from June 6, 2011, without even fixing the foot in panel 4.
