I’m with Leaky. Sounds like a kid’s meal. Altho in IL they may have fast food joints that have brats. Lotsa salt and fat, yum! They probably are after the toys, and Verl is gathering the ingredients for her famous tomato soup.
If these people don’t beat all. I can’t believe they would buy kiddie meals for the free toys and not the smaller size portions. Why anyone would want to be friends with them must be desperate. lol
Maybe the meals come in those handy dandy reusable Styrofoam containers. You know like the cups they recycle every year. After all it is the picnic day. HAPPY 4th all
@Leaky and Toenails, the Penny’s are everything we love to hate in our neighbors and relations. The lady in Thailand has more in common with yours truly than with Ma Darwin. My lovely bird friend had her wings kept trimmed for safety though.
@Toenails,Your birds are lovely, by the way;the Thailand woman does not seem very concerned about the safety of hers. I guarded Cuddles and Fitzroy very carefully when we were out in any traffic (on bicycle, not fast) because I hoped she’d outlive me.

Leaky and Toenails are both correct . . . depends on which strip you’re looking at.
And ketchup on a brat? Horrors! You need spicy mustard for that (smile). Maybe they’re just replenishing their supply of condiments at home.
