I didn’t know about “Brevity” until today. Mr. Thompson, you have my unremitting admiration. One would think that drawing and writing the elegant and unmatched “Rip Haywire” would be enough; that you would have the time and talent to compose another strip is simply amazing.

I demand a spinoff strip for Breezy! She’s just darling!

Eh. I still think Cobra is the fuse to Rip’s dynamite. Breezy is just so…wholesome. Ohhh. There’s another strip? Why doesn’t anyone ever tell me these things?

I’ve finally just figured it out, and I don’t know if anybody else has mentioned it, but Breezy, by definition, is the “Anti-Cobra!” Just as beautiful, but the complete opposite of Cobra Carson. The good girl would would take Rip in a heartbeat, dangerous warts and all, and NOT try to change him in the least! Any guy who has a reasonably well-working brain would lovingly jump in her arms, but as we all know, Rip doesn’t have a reasonably well-working brain! He’ll never give Breezy the time of day, when he pines for a back-stabbing bad girl who can make his heart skip ten beats just by batting her amazingly luscious eyelashes at him…
