At times like this, I hearken back to the words of the great British philosopher, Jasper Carrot:
In England, if you see a policeman with two stripes on his arm, it means he can read and write. If you see a policeman with one stripe on his arm, it means he can read OR write. If you see a policeman with no stripe on his arm, it means he KNOWS someone who can read and write.

Anybody who’s saved the address as I have, can easily go and have a stroll down brew pub lane, but when doled out in bits with delicious captioning, the Classics become a heady savory treat. .Your Pogo was great today, Bugger ! And I am glad you are dropping them again...Who won the pot, Number six ?
Hey all. Another busy week with the grandkids. And yes I’m blessed. They wear me out but I don’t complain much. I’d rather be tired trying to keep up than comfortably numb at home with nothing to cheer me up. But, I did miss you guys and wanted to stop in and say so. Good days to all and I’ll come home when I can. As usual the extras are funny as heck.
The Pogo reminds me of when my dad and step mom downsized. Dad kept carrying trash to his pickup. He finally got so tired he had to stop. It was then that step mom and sister came from a different door and took what he had just put on the truck and took it back inside. He had been wondering why he couldn’t fill the truck up.
Dunno what they do in England for something like this, but in the US, Old Andy’d be charged with fighting in public, being disrespectful to an officer, and then fighting/ assaulting a police officer, which would get him about 90 days, plus a $1,000 fine and court costs.

assaulting an officer of the law is one thing, but insulting one is a very different thing if you ask me

That cop would’ve had a better chance if he’d have offered to buy each man a pint if they stopped.

A morning without fight clouds is like a day without orange juice. So I’ll just sit back, relax, drink my orange juice, and enjoy the fight clouds……….

In the last panel.. I like how the man is looking at the ‘audience’ from the corner of his eye as if to say “Have you ever seen anything like it?”

Thank you for your comment the other day also… I feel a lot more ‘in the pink’ now. I hope you are doing well too!

Well, the bobby DOES have a big nose,,,,, as do I…
When people ask me why my nose is so big, I tell them it’s because I keep it out of other folks buisness, and let it grow to fruition.

For the “Pogo” characters, ALL their days were “off” ! (They worked about as hard as Huckleberry Finn, and enjoyed themselves even more……….)
