In a candid scene Joy and Burl are not found wanting.

Ma is sitting in front of the TV and Burn Notice is playing on the DVR in frame by frame slow motion. She thinks she is watching Queen for a Day and dreams that if she were crowned Queen then maybe she could have brand new gutters.

She thinks about Joy’s dad a lot and sometimes she cries but she is always happy she remembers.

Jerry is coaching his little league team. He does surprisingly well and has taken them to the playoffs five seasons straight. Verla is in the stands beaming with admiration. She sees how good Jerry is with kids as she’s watched them grow from tykes to teens. Something about that gnaws at her though.

As usual, the comments are better than the strip. As usual, I have nothing to add, because dfowenby already mentioned the eye in the shrubbery.

It does look better and let’s face it, Burl wouldn’t have the talent to make anything else.

Wow, you guys…. I’m overwhelmed by the response…I’ve been baking cookies for 28 hours….

I only had 100 of the misprinted…. I mean, lovely … sample packs … er travel kits …but Marg and I and a few neighbors are assembling more as fast as we can…

I ran out of the little logo bags, but don’t worry…I’m working out a replacement….never mind the candy cane design, OK?

I need a nap but it’ll have to waitzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

4:00 Finally! Cookies are…um,,,interesting. Did you run out of something? Like…um….butter? And the sample pack will come in handy even if the bag has Halloween Pumpkins on the front. Thank you so much!

I don’t know but I think either Marg or Susan accidentally put a little Brain Bleach in the cookies in their hurry to make more cookies! They were so busy, they probably never noticed!

I don’t mind though, my gray hair has turned into the brown color of my youthful days! It’s a miracle, I tell ya’! THAT BRAIN BLEACH DOES WONDERS!
