Andy: If you really don't want to talk about the birds and the bees right now, Paige, that's ok. We have all week. We can talk about something else. Paige: Thank you. Andy: How's your assigned summer reading coming along? Back to the birds and the bees? Paige: If you don't mind.

The assigned summer reading must be a very bad topic.

I’ve not finished reading H.G. Wells’ “The Invisible Man” since last year; only about 50 pages left. Although not in school, I gotta get on it. Next well have to be either “Super Sid: The Story of a Great All Black” (biography of Mormon New Zealand rugby player Sidney Going) or “Japanese Saints: Mormons in the Land of the Rising Sun.”

Perhaps if Lolita was on that reading list, Andy could kill two birds with one bee…

I took a Sci-Fi reading class my Senior year, but came to find out I’d already read everything on the teacher’s list for the quarter. He told me to go find new stuff and give him a review. Great class!

I went thru 12 years of regular school and 4 years of college, not once in that time did I get a “summer reading list”. Of course in my case the problem my parents had was to get me to stop reading and do something anything else.

I like to read books.

When I was in school, Tom Sawyer was on that list. Now the book is practically banned. Mostly because of it’s portrayal of how black people were treated, which was accurate to the times.
