See… that’s the thing of it…. while I tend to say “I couldn’t care less,” because it’s grammatical, and “could care less” makes no actual sense, I think it’s meant ironically.
There are a lot of ironic expressions that don’t hold up to scrutiny, like “I could give a rat’s behind,” “I DON’T give a rat’s behind”…“Not half bad,” “Not half”….“Tell me about it!” Saying “great” when something bad happens and “This tastes funny.”
Thanks to the people on here that stepped over to Rogue Symmetry to check out my tribute yesterday. I apologize for misspelling Rogue. My spell check should have caught it, and probably did. I was in sort of a fugue at the time and didn’t catch my typo.
My friend’s family liked the tribute. I am indebted to Derrick Wood for setting his comic back a day to let me use his spot.
In appreciation, I will give his comic one more shout out, and this time make sure there are no typos.
@X, I thought that was WOOLEN kittens as in yarn, kittens etc.
I used to read this one just for all the little hidden things that Julie used to coordinate with the theme of the day’s joke, but as more of the toons are now reused, they are not always coordinated. I definitely come here mainly for the comments, even when I have little time (such as when I’m on someone else’s PC) I manage to read DS and BS.

If I could care any less I’d actually care. Idiots. I’ll bet they all say ‘irregardless’, too.

Oh…. and much as I hate hate hate “should of” in writing, it’s more of a mishearing or misspelling than ignorance.
It comes from our habit of contracting “should have” into “should’ve” in casual speech, and its being misheard and then written as “should of”.

See…. I can be as pedantic as anybody.
