JonD17 - That was kind of my point. There was a time when people believed that sports figures were good people. Maybe some of them were and some still are.In general though, I tend to think of them as a bunch of overpaid egos who let fame and fortune go to their heads.
I remeber when guys played for the love of the game, and all of them had other jobs to support themselves. That what I liked about Bret Favre, you could see the joy in his face when he was playing, he loved being out there. Sure he was making a lot more money then the old time guys ever did, but he truly loved what he was doing.
