The ancient Aztecs liked to eat tortillas stuffed with tadpoles. In 1923 jockey Frank Hayes finished first at Belmont Park on the horse Sweet Kiss... Despite dying during the race! Reshma Begum, 19, was pulled alive from beneath the rubble of the 8 story Rana Plaza in Dhaka, Bangladesh, 17 days after it collapsed in April 2013.

Sweet Kiss was 20 to 1. Frank is the only jockey ever to win a race after death. He was 34 or 35 years old.
