Makes you wonder if Sam will be living with Nancy and Aunt Fritzi, with Sluggo – with assistance from Uncles Les and Moore – or with Phil. I vote for Phil becoming the guardian of the dog – that way, there will always be a good reason to include Phil in the strips which focus on Aunt Fritzi, Nancy and Sluggo stopping by to visit Sam – and Phil!

I KNEW it would turn out good. See you naysayers? Stories don’t always go negitive!!

I wonder what excuses animal abusers have for these cases? Pets given as gifts? Kids moved out?

So, Phil gets him after all. Do they live at the mission where Sam will be a pal to the less fortunate? Sam also seems to have gained about ten pounds.

Must be something in the local water. Phil is at least a foot taller since he arrived. And in less than a week, Sam is beefier and has new color in his fur.Is isn’t possible to improve on Fritzi, so…

Yesterday there was some discussion of a quote from the great Rabbi Hillel. Here is what he said. One day a man, a wise guy of sorts, approached Hillel and asked him if he could recite the entire Torah (the first 5 books of the Bible) while standing on one leg.

Hillel responded that of course he could and said the following. Do not do to others what you would consider hateful were it done to you. (The original statement of the golden rule). He then continued saying, If I am not for myself who will be, but if I am only for myself who am I? And if not now, when? He then concluded by saying that this in essence is the Torah, all else is commentary.

Yay!
