My Chihuahua is not that pushy. Just softly whimpers over and over and over and……….you get the picture. I take her out and we go all over checking trees for squirrels, bossing the robins, investigation every little smell, and all in 100 degree heat. Come back thinking I tired her out. No for in about 10 minutes the whimpers begin. So I put her in my lap.Every try using the Playstation controllers with a Chihuahua trying to help. But the whimpers stopped.
My lover had a sweet female lab mix named Tippy who would just join him on the couch, but I had Cuddles. When we came into the room Cuddles would jump to the floor and run quickly towards the couch. Tippy would immediately evacuate and go hide in shame (big dog frightened by a little bird). We all had fun out by his pool, tho. He had pipes back then, too (I helped blend his special mix).
I can’t tell if Happy’s post has a costume or is a dog standing, but it’s cute. Tippy learned to climb ladder to pool slide and wait for command to go; she also knew to bring her bowl to me at mealtime.
Hullo all….My little dog acted sort of like Bev says Hendrix does….
Would sit and stare at me, waiting for my mind-reading function to kick in.
Dinner? Out? Walk? Pet me?Why are you petting me when I want FOOD?Why are you petting me when I need to go out right NOW?
I adopted her at 14 mos after 3 bad homes….she was accidentally trained (through through the ignorance of those owners) not to let her needs be known and NOT to obey till she was yelled at.
After a few years she started to bark… once …. at the door or her dinner bowl.
Then she would come sneeze at me, a big fake sneeze, and arrogantly stamp her little front paws.
No, I can not slow it down. I’m just Happy that I know ho to post them.As for finding them, I just try image searches by using different key word. I’ll also change the order of key words.I don’t know if it makes a big difference, but it sometimes changes things up a little.I try to find the gold in the rubble…
I thought she looked familiar! I’ve seen her around Ballard St. That’s Scooter’s Grandma!! Can you all see the family resemblance…the wide body, skinny ligs and longggg snout…?
Scooter has taken his lead from Rusty Boy. Around the neighborhood Rusty Boy carries a lot of weight and carries it well. Scooter not so much. But as of late, Scooter has been making some moves and being heard and seen. Ms Millie has noticed and Rusty Boy has noticed too. As the summer heats up Ballard Street takes a turn toward the unpredictable, the bizarre. Gone are the wacky days of spring. The pleasantries and idle moments between Garden Club meetings have all but faded away and now the cold grip and miry shadows of dog days have found us. We should brace ourselves, there maybe a storm on the horizon. Shirley is stashing wedding cookies and muffins….something is in the air.

Groucho said Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend...Now we see once again that the dog trumps the book.

Bilan….You only told half!
The full quote is one of my favorites ever:
"Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend…Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read. "
usually attributed to Groucho Marx.

Amazing picture of the Monkey, Stel! Hard to get him to even stand still.
SusanSunshine Premium Member over 11 years ago
Bev…. there are almost always ribs at the Tiki….As long as there is fresh yak, and there usually is.
If the Monkey is playing music, or otherwise needs me to, he asks me to take over the smoker.
And I just brought in more pies from the pie shop…it’s almost right next door.
