Life imitating art.

While I love Wiley’s bears, Jeffery Dahmer actually ate more people than bears. Considering guns kill more people in two or three days in the U.S. than all the bears have killed in the whole record, just a point of “interest”.

LOL! Nice try, dude. Time magazine, don’t remember which issue in the sumer of 1989: cover article stated that handguns were responsible for 435 murders per week in the USA. I’m sure the numbers haven’t gone down in the last 24 years. And that number did not include rifles and other long guns.

Looking at your comment a second time, I see that you may in fact be correct. Can you quote the exact statistic, though, as to how many guns are killed by hammers each year?

Not even remotely true, George.

Trapped a couple hundred black bear over the years in Park Service. Lived with them outside the “door” in all the years we lived in tents. Also had encounters with grizzlies in three years in Yellowstone.

I like the fact that Wiley portrays bears as, actually, “good natured”, which is what the vast majority of them are. People, not so much.

Wiley draws the best bears.
