These comments are beginning to be “the recipe of the day.” Arlo and Janis has got somebody’s full page diatribe on making s’mores, for crying out loud. Now we have a similar tome on how to cook hot dogs. I wish the authors of these gems would just get together and assemble their cookbooks and leave the rest of us to enjoy the comics and their comments in peace.
Somehow, I have trouble believing that Clumsy Carp could have successfully pulled all these things together like that. The knowledge to do it is one thing; the coordination—well, you judge!
Alexikakos: you can make white sauce in the microwave. Melt the butter, add the flour, cook on high for a minute, stir with a whisk, cook for another minute or 2, stirring in between. Add the milk, cook and stir for a minute at a time until desired thickness. No mess and it won’t scald or burn.
