Jake’s been here before. For Velda, it’s the first time – she flinched.Jake looks like an angry English Lit. teacher. Why is it that the rats fear the dimensionometer?
WHAT EVER THAT IS IT IS NOT MARX!!!! By what I mean this presentation is just for the support of Jake. Marx created this home for the Endtown. It is unlikely he would go to this action to cause damage, distration, democratic, disgusting actions and demoralization. NONONONO. That is not Marx!!!!!!Blessings to all of us.
The rats loved him. This was not the case now. He scared them, they sure must have heard some really bad thing about him. And the dimetionometer. Kind of a silly thing he enjoys at the end.
There is something very wrong here that hasn’t been revealed yet. While I don’t like Marx in general, there is something “off” with him here. We’ll have to wait and see, but its frustrating not knowing what’s REALLY going on.
I was wonderin’ where that man was hiding! I think of him as being a bit like “Q” in the StarTrek NG series. Sometimes I like him, and sometimes I don’t. Scary to think of someone having so much power.
What can I even SAY to this…???Well… my two favorite characters in Endtown are most likely the rats and Marx. So I’m hoping they all end up on the good side.Of course, in Endtown, it’s not easy to say who the “good side” is…
Doesn’t that remind you of that scene in The Empire Strikes Back? The rats as Han Solo, Leia, Lando etc., JJ as the Empire flunkey and Marx as Darth Vader?
Maybe this bullet-deflection invisible shield is why JJ was unfazed by having a gun pointed at his head by the panda. He knew he could not be shot. Note here, he is equally calm, while Velda is flinching.
I’m still betting on this being Mallard using dittos to disguise himself, and I bet he’s smart enough to make his own dimensionometer once he knew it was possible.
OK, just who is this rabbit and what has he done with Jake? The real Jackrabbit is a cowardly blowhard who could no more face down armed opponents than fly to the moon. This steely nerved Machiavelli has got to be an imposter.
I wasn’t quite sure it was Marx yesterday, but that was convincing. Why don’t the Security Rats like him anymore? Why doesn’t Jake show fear? Why does Velda show fear?
Well, we know there is more than one of him in different realities because of the ending of the Flask story http://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2012/10/23 So an evil one? Karl is a good name for an evil Marx. How many Dimensionometers exist and could AM’s doppelganger possess one? Sigh Well, I hated the first Deux Ex Machina/Gary Stu story with him but I rode it out to the end so I guess I’ll see where this one goes.
“Marx is OP, Nerf Now Plz! Also, why does the most OP character have the funniest emotes? BALANCE COMIC!”.Now that I’ve sated my gaming roots, I find it hard to believe we’ve gone from a riot full of dead and wounded to… today’s comic.
BLINGThat and his looks says it all.Good one TSOJ Jacob does look like an angry English Lit Professor.Velda is just classic. Now she might to go change into a clean pair. Its our Marx alright. He does like the dramatic entrance. Now about that broadcast.
Janbic & Dirty Old Lady,I’d say that you’re half right here. This is Aaron Marx, just not quite the one we used to know. Between his falling in love with and losing Flask, drinking from the Oracle and heaven knows what else Marx has changed. He is no longer the goofy fun loving guy who teased Wally about “string theory”. My hypothesis is that drinking from the Oracle has made him aware of things that suggest that supporting Jacob is the least of all evils. He doesn’t seem that happy about being in that position (4th panel aside) and I suspect that Jacob will find his rule to be far more difficult than he had imagined.
Marx is too clever to side with hitler bunny, or at least I think so. Is he a double agent? Is this a bluff? Or what about a double bluff? A triple? Maybe Marx knows that this will blow up in the Rabbit’s face in the end, afterall, endtown will be wary of fanatics.
Well it seems the dimensionometer doesn’t have to be out to work. I also like how we’re starting to see a softer side to Velda. Her expressions showed she didn’t like the possibility of Allgood getting killed nor of Jakes callous attitude. Don’t get me wrong, she’s still a selfish little snot so far. She’s just not overtly cruel.A parallel universe would make sense. Only Holly, Wally, Linda, Petey and Brain in a box made it from the one universe to this one. My question about that being what happened to the original Holly and Wally in this universe? Holly especially is too well known not to have existed before Aaron brought them there. The relationship between Holly and the Doctor is only one point. So the question is: Is this really a parallel universe, or is it the same universe, but only altered? The same reality, but people have changed in personality. Did Marx’s appearance in the ship, or opening of the hole to Endtown cause a disturbance that changed people somehow?Late realization of that universes Holly and Wally: They’re now MUTTS and the Flask from that universe is dust.
Consider the possibility of Tough Love. Aaron and Flask created this city as DOL said; I doubt that he would want it to descend into self-destruction. However, he might have disapproved of the way things were/are going and decided to straighten it out. Correction can be painful, but “To the greater good”…
Maybe the Rats are worried about the last time Marx was there. They may have been made to do some unmentionable things under his control. (ha) They are not immune to flashy lights and soft voices. Shiny things intrigue them rendering them manipulative.
I think I’ll try shaving the possibilities with Occam’s Razor. While all things are possible when Aaron Neathery is at the helm of a story, the simplest explanation is that Wally, Holly & the gang are still in this universe’s Endtown and that Marx, Jacob ect… are the same people we were introduced to. If some of the characters, like Jacob and Marx are different, it is likely because their experiences have changed them. Aaron Marx has drank from the Oracle, it is probable that he has a complete understanding of what’s going on and that he is into whatever this is because its the least of all evils. He appears shorter, and more serious because he feel weighed down by what he is experiencing. I suspect that the main reason that Jacob has “grown a pair” is that he knows he is working with the closest thing to a god that he has ever seen. He was convinced that Marx would never allow Allgood to shoot him just as he knew that Marx would save him from the rats. It is possible that this whole Endtown domination scheme was really planted in his head by Marx as part of the latter’s attempt to work for the greater good. I’d wager that if Marx left Jacob to hang, the latter would return to the coward we all know and loathe. The main question is what does Marx know and WHY has he chosen to side with Jacob at this time?
