Sometimes it is hard to be understood even without brain damage.

We seem to have lost Mike31g’s alternative reruns. I will gladly cede the floor to the honourable gentleman when he returns, as I loved his choices, but meanwhile here’s one that resonates over this side of the Girt Big Pond today…http://www.gocomics.com/doonesbury/1982/05/17No peeking ahead at the following days!

So we have “Hear No Evil” and “Speak No Evil” here. Now we just need “See No Evil.” Bring in The Zonk!

Trudeau is excellent in reminding us how we’ve damaged the younger generation with our useless and insane wars…..

My heart goes out to all tinnitus sufferers; my father had it, too..‘My wife tries to talk to me while I am involved in something noisy ’.Mine also. She’s on the computer in the dining room, I’m in the living room, tv’s on, A/C is on, so I go in there and she says “Oh, never mind”…

And wants to say it in a loud, slow voice, now that I’m away from all of the background noise. ARGGGHHHHH! I’m hard of hearing, not stupid.

@riverhawk – That is so true! The whining is incessant! I wish there were a switch I could flip and turn it off! I sympathize with the older guy, my hearing is down to 50% and the tinnitus is one of the reasons it’s so bad.

My Dad’s (after 31 years of rifle ranges, combat, gun director tubs – on the Salem, the 1st Shirt’s battle station, and where the gunners tested the firing lockout zone) was crickets, like a country evening. Mine (after some 8 years of rifle ranges, flight lines, and HF heterodynes) is like the hiss of running water somewhere under the house. I also seem to have inherited his ‘selective hearing’. We both hear just about as much as we want to. Semper Fi!
