We don’t have the space or enough sun for blackberries. Just enough of each to grow a few blueberry bushes with strawberries run beneath them.Of course, that brings on the annual battle with the birds.
The only free fruit I have is my citrus. I share the oranges with neighbors (and some share their lemons with me). I keep the grapefruit to myself as I can eat them all (unless it’s a spectacular year) but a few are always to high to get down. The oranges are great flavor and I like the grapefruit (but rinds are thick and my kids think they need sugar to eat them). Fresh fruit does not need anything and if it is very sweet, some plain Greek yogurt tames it.

At one time or another, I’ve had raspberries, blackberries, cherries, peaches, pears, and apples in yards where I lived.

Brings back fond memories of berry picking. The blackberries were worth getting poked by thorns.
