I answered a bunch of people late on yesterday’s strip (ie, this afternoon for me on Pacific Time)

GodfreyD and Hippogriff…. thanks especially for your welcome back, and your concern…I really appreciate it, in spite of the fact I’ve been right here!

    LOL….

The reports of my disappearance prompted me to wonder, myself, just how long I’d been gone…

So I checked back,…. and I see that I’ve posted on Brevity almost every single day of August….I did miss one or two days near the beginning…

    But now I get it!

You guys were obviously trying so hard to forget my daily assault of so-called “humor” that you blocked me out of your memory!

    Well, nice try.I won’t stop!

The really funny bit here? “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” was made in West Germany, and many of the little people playing Oompah Loompahs were German.

I first thought to post and then went back to see the rest.@Susan, at least mine was not the same cut – mine was done cutting in ALL the verses (sing along style).

I agree the Wilder one was better. I have both, and many versions of “Alice”; most recent remakes are rather disappointing.

SusanSunshine: It is not that you weren’t here, just that you weren’t here enough. Thus the welcome back.
