To c001, I offer my sincere condolences. I agree with your attitude toward that war and can only imagine the sorrow you feel in losing your son.
No one has the keys to solving all life’s challenges, but I feel it is important to strive to put our positivity and creativity to work as best we can…

No-one has the corner on the market of Suffering. Here’s one father’s response, and how it’s grown, more than 14 years later: http://bit.ly/1ZPL4 @c001 – please accept my deepest condolences.

Sorry for your loss but I have one question. Was the job what he wanted to do?Did he want to serve? Did he want to try to make a difference? If that was what he wanted to do……then show him the respect that he did exactly what he wanted to do.Many times it is not how you honor the living. It is how you remember the fallen. JFK said that.I salute him for his service and sacrifice.I salute and respect you for him.Now you make a difference somewhere. Let his memory and sacrifice make you make a difference. Volunteer. It is what he did.Ex Vietnam Vet. (I volunteered)

Some have posted here about a loss and how can this strip fit.Obvious to those with an open mind.Make your loss into a gain. Make the loss count for something. Make a difference or wallow in self pity. Carry on what they left behind.Honor their memory by carrying on their memory.Make a difference somewhere. Mentor in school, assist at a old folks home, stand up against injustice, comfort an old lonely neighbor, run a 5K in his name, just thank a vet coming back for their service, many others just do it in his/her name.Do it for yourself or the flowers will die and never grow.

This would have been better if it was for the recent since 2009 The Electric Company revival TV series on PBS Kids.
