I have an honest-to-goodness SQ-proof feeder. Every spirng young SQs try to get into it but always fail! Unfortunately, I do not see it in the catalog anymore.
We moved our feeders to a pole in the middle of the yard. The pole has a slinky spring attachment on it. The squirrels give up after awhile. Before they do, it’s entertaining to watch them try.The only feeders we don’t hang on the pole are those for the hummingbirds. So guess where the squirrels are now?.I told my plugger husband to cheer up. We will never starve. As long as we can afford bird seed, we can trap enough sugar or seed fed squirrels to live on.

That’s my wife! Exactly! As for squirrels, try the ‘Critter Getter’ on Ebay. After 13 kills, no squirrels come in my yard now.

The squirrels are welcome in our garden as are magpies, foxes, badgers….although I’ve never seen the last two there. But CATS can keep away.
