Good Morning Ballardeers ! Ready for a Fantastic Friday ? For those of you with real jobs, congratulations ! You’ve made it through another work week. For those of us, who no longer have to endure the employment slog, Cheers ! Let’s go join Andy and Uncle Freddy at the rail of life.
I’m all ready for it (and with the book I mentioned over at Daddy’s Home) I’m enjoying deep breaths of the fresh air. Just about finished with my lime juice and ready to go up and cook my garlic pasta and spinach for breakfast.
His favorite time. When his house is in the takeoff path of the jets as they roll up the engines to take off.Mind the jet fuel smell its not so bad.At least it blows all the leaves on to the neighbor’s yard.
You guys have all been up for so long, Up at the north end of Ballard Street its three time zones later. Guess I’ll wander down to the Tiki and see if anybody is still there. An Arnold Palmer sounds nice along with a yak omelette. There is a rather stiff breeze blowing this morning.
@StelBelSmashing !I notice Otis has already taken to my favorite baseball team, while Ollie has lot in common with Number Six. And of course Olivia bears a striking resemblance to Newton John ( No, Munkey, not Elton ! ).We’ll give them a true Ballard Street welcome !!
Great comments pictures, cartoons and links guys. I think aI feel up to a little stroll outside today, with my cane.I won’t be doing any Fred Astaire routines though. Just practicing staying vertical, lolMy back is slowly improving. See you later.
CCR said it best and said it first, “look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn”. I told you that polka dot madness was contagious, just look at that shirt, why in three days they will be perfectly round. Oh Andy, don’t look so surprised, it’s just the first symptoms. Next comes watery eyes and dry month, stinky feet and itchy palms, weak knees and some chafing follow by a red rash which is light sensitive and goes away after several baking soda baths. But the best part is still to come, so move away from the rail, get out of the flow, sit down, take off your Buster Brown’s, kick back, smoke another beer, Shirley went for Cracker Jacks and chocolate milk. You’ll be craving loud music, fun with flash lights, rubber band fights, dice games and a whole lot more. Eat two slices of pecan pie, call me in a few days and I’ll give you the rest of the antidote.
Could Prince Mua come along to welcome the Olivet family? That’s if Elvis doesn’t mind Kitty, Kitty Bang-Bang?STEL, can you guide him here? I seem to have fallen out with Photo Bucket and can’t retrieve Mua from there.
BEV? You still here? Gosh, what an exciting night, seeing that Oliguit- whatever it is called. It is cute, and that family looks perfect for Ballard Street.
Yawn! Well, thanks for the Salty Dog, BEV! Sorry you had to leave so suddenly. I know I’ll miss SUSAN too, but the way I sleep now, you may see me at the turnover yet. Then again, maybe not…. (Yawn)….zzzzz

Or so….Or maybe midnight sometimes…. if not eleven…. And sometimes 1 AM…..
The Tiki Bar runs on Monkeytime….
and we all know about Monkeytime.
Tonight I’m earlier cos the little monkeys are working.I like to be there when it’s their shift….though the Fireman is there too.
Wow, and Bev is leaving?

Well, he may not be on the bench, but he’s still in the dugout of life. The truth is out there….somewhere.

I feel in the flow of life by standing near the subway doors when they open.

I’d really need to find two. Ollie, the poor overlooked Olinguito likes company, So, I’d probably have to find an Olivia to accompany him…just sayin’

Andy likes to think he is on a ship some times. He’s waiting for his ship to come in.

I think Andy is finding out that life is a highway. He may even want to ride it some day.

Hi Afficianado. Nice to see you strolling over to Ballard Street. You’ll find it much friendlier here than some other places.

That Olingito is adorable. I wonder how many there are? And they eat mostly fruit. Fascinating.

That’s the flow of the wind, Andy, which by the way is picking up. You may want to heed those tornado sirens.
