I cannot be taught to waltz. I was in a production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. We all had to waltz at the beginning of the show- and I think at the end. I was glad there were a lot of other people out there, because I kept hoping that no one (except my partner) would notice my feet. Don’t know why, but getting those moves down was very hard for me.
The worst time I had trying to dance was at a Pow Wow. We had attended several before, but had never danced, not even in the veterans dance. Well there was a couples dance at this one, and before I knew it my daughter had shoved my better half and I in the line. I have two left feet, and because of how the line had moved we wound up next to the lead dancer at the end. My wife is graceful, I am not. It was fun, but embarrassing, a white dude in cowboy boots stomping his way through the couples dance with 2 graceful people next to him.
For the couple to put on a show for their friends is totally not important (my daughter and 2nd husband did a tango). The important thing is holding each other with whatever simple moves they CAN, looking into each others’ eyes sincerely. Roy and Kathy will do fine.
I am almost 76 (next month) but very much in love and forever romantic.
“The lady in red…. is dancing with me…. cheek to cheek…”For some reason that song keeps going through my mind as I read this. (Can’t imagine why!) ; ))

Googling “How to waltz” lists a 7 minute and a 2 and-a-half minute YouTube video. I bet Roy decided the latter was sufficient.

Remember the Monty Python lesson on how to play the flute? Blow in here and run your fingers up and down these holes.

I have faith that Roy won’t damage Kathy’s toes too badly.

Where are they going on their honeymoon? To Star Wars beach to stay at the Star Trek hotel and stay in the Klingon honeymoon suite?

Jay asks Carolina to dance, then apologises to her about the ‘Slave Girl-thing’ and things “Click”. :)
