Do you apologize when you’re wrong?

I apologise constantly, even when I’m not particularly wrong.

I have a friend who does the same thing, and she and I are always apologising to each other for apologising so much.

I’m sorry I brought the wrong sort of cookies, didn’t get you a very good birthday present…the movie’s too long, the coffee’s too hot, too cold, etc….

I know that’s annoying…. I’m sorry.

I don’t know what I did but I’m sorry for doing it and I’ll never let it happen again.

Always – Even when I can’t figure out just what I did that upset him. I’m always just myself and honest (albeit a little too outspoken) so I often find myself apologizing for things in which I find no fault.

She is correct. Saying “I owe you $10” is not the same as giving me the $10 back.
