if she is gonna give the kids chores to do then let them do them, even if they don’t do them like she would. Let the kids do it their way and later when they are not around correct it if it bugs you that much. Or show them the correct way to do it by helping them do the chore, like dusting or folding clothes, then they learn how to do it right (or the way you want it done).

This was how I got mom to hem my pants when I was a teenager. As an adult I would ask mom to pin the hem. Sometimes I would take the pants home and hem myself. But if it required hand hemming? Mom would take over snd hem..I’m going to miss that.
