Pure and innocent child logic! I was three years old when one of my grandfathers died. He died of a heart attack in the living room. I thought, “How could he die in the LIVING room??” (I know Mr. Crane used this idea in a cartoon a few years ago, but surely many children have thought it before.).Also I saw older women with large fat deposits in their upper arms, and thought they had big muscles. And in our town many of us had immigrant grandparents who spoke “broken English.” We thought that as people got older, that’s how they talked..Old people (like me, now) are a mystery to children. In the absence of knowledge, children develop many sweet and humorous theories about us. Don’t be offended — hearken back to your own days as a child.
I have never heard facial wrinkles explained that way. It really is a wonderful way to think about them. Does that mean people who Botox hate themselves or hate those who love them ?
I love that explanation. Makes wonder why people go to the expense of facelifts and such. Age gracefully people. You’ll be better off and the money will still be in your pocket.
awww……..but i have wrinkles and very few that love me. you know how they say when you die all the people that loved you and passed before you will be there waiting? there will be a lot of ‘dead’ space around me….
We are all related to cockroaches and lobsters, and grass and gnats, ants and antelopes, butterflies and bulldogs. Some are just closer kin than others..No need to be ashamed

What does a lobster (or a cockroach) have to do with facial lines?

whmIII: In the same way you are related to a rainbow trout: arthropoda, chordata. But as others have questioned, what is the relevance?

Tell him yes you have a lot of people who love you, but the gray hair is all Earl’s responsibility.

Very sweet. I will treasure this one and remember it as my “love lines” deepen and multiply.
