I knew a guy who got a good mark for giving a short answer in college. The teacher handed out a mimeograph sheet (anyone remember those?) with one word on it: “Why?” Most of the class gave long winded answers, trying to unlock the mysteries of the universe- or basically trying to show off how smart they were in because they were in college My friend wrote simply: “Why not?” He was the only one who got what the teacher was trying to do.
I always hated length requirements for those writing assignments, usually more because it wasn’t long ENOUGH for me. That, I find them to be rather restrictive, creatively speaking. You either have to cut yourself short, or force yourself to write more on a point that may not need it.
That said, I acknowledge why teachers have them; otherwise students would do things like this.
I have too much to say about anything, but I actually can be brief when required.
I was on TMZ yesterday (terrible- during my workout and with no makeup) and the choices they gave me for topic were not my favs (but I get $20 in their merch/store and will try to do better next time). They liked my camera setup (extra lights to compensate for the bright sunlight behind me).

The character maximum would make that a big negatory Maria, teachers of any level prefer word/page minimums.
