Life Lessons #1267: The disappointment of finding out that strawberry flavoured foods do not taste at all like strawberries, mixed with the exhilaration of having found something that tastes better than strawberry flavoured foods.
What was really cool about today’s comments are that we all love our local strawberries. Ours, here in the Lower Mainland (BC, Canada) have the same short 4-6 week growing season. Are a full dark red all the way through. And though they are tiny compared to the giants from Califirnia, ars much more tasty. (and more & more farmers are going the organic route)

Now is the time to tell him that flavorings aren’t even made from the fruit but yucky things like “beaver butt”. True story.

Right you are Sarah. It’s the artificial flavours in the fake strawberry stuff’s fault.

My favorite strawberries were the one ones I raised, until the droughts killed them off.

Real strawberries don’t need castoreum to enhance their flavor. Do it! I dare you to look up castoreum ;)
