Rumors are flying around Ballard County! Are we hearing wedding bells?
Our very social Nosy Neighbor columnist, Miss Bev , is investigating the story as this goes to press. Be sure to pick up your copy of Ballard LIFE this weekend to find out more!
Both of X’s links took me to the same Python clip (but that’s OK- I’m a big fan of all their stuff). @Bev- love the Sinatra song too, but all those years of responsibility and raising my family (doing what was expected of me) are DONE! And I’m back to about the same size and shape as before I married (and will never make THAT mistake again!) I did a good job with this bunch (just one DIL and one grandson missing at daughter’s party last year.
No time for nostalgia – I’ll deal with THAT when I feel old. I’d rather be seen as in this snap (drink in one hand as I peek around my daughter (and next to my teen grand-daughters). Only one old pal of the boys snuck into this (so I wrote on his face)

Have a great weekend Ballardeers. The ole Capt. is going to be busy until the turn Sunday night, studying the finer points of Ecuadoran Spanish. I am going to be incognito, so anything you hear about me ain’t necessarily so ! Hey that sounds like a good name for a song !See you on Monday !!
I sewed on some plastic horns (no mouse ears) to this costume. Costumes are fun. I have others from my kids somewhere but not in Flickr. This was an early photo of his older daughter and husband “Trick or Treating” at my house back before my move (as usual, Cuddles climbs on the nearest young man) and that tree in the mural appears to be growing from her head. I wore that mask more than 10 Halloweens (until some moths got in it). I still have a big bag of feathers, eventually will make another.
Susan, Isn’t it part of the fun of Ballard Street that NOTHING is too outlandish? I love being able to dress however and carry around whatever sorts of things might strike one’s fancy . . .
Love to have my fancy struck (the phrase itself is so appealing) or maybe around this time of night I just get a little goofy and giddy. and I haven’t had a single drink – HONEST! not even my herbal tea (but it’s ready to take up to a bath).
He didn’t totally lose it. I mean, he has it in his left hand. He will need to find a way to reattach it. His wounded pride is another story. That will take some time.
