Very good effort today; Reg would be proud. If only these guys could be a little more consistent. The really good ones, like today, are so few and far between.

@Linda DeanI totally agree with your teaching your grandson to readMy youngest son’s 4yr old kid that they adopted from Cambodiacan speak 2 languages, Maltese and English He is as sharp as a tack and noting escapes his notice Reading to them activates things within their brain, but love and intellectual stimulations brings them knowledge of a love learning….this is what I see you giving your grandchildren Tony, and this is why I revere you. God Bless You and Connie Both!
Andy Capp 101 (cont.):Andy with His ‘Chopper’ look. It’s more anatomically correct than previous Mouths which were essentially a half-circle; now We see that Chin’s connected to a Jaw. . . .note the weight of the ‘silent’ panels when Andy’s expression tells the Story. R.M. Gumby isn’t capable of this.
I agree with many others today. Today’s strip is really excellent.Andy taking the man’s beer isn’t the only thing that’s funny… It’s the fact that the man is just STANDING there staring into space and not even attempting to get his pint back which he paid with his own money!xxx
You are welcome ! “Consequence…” is a pretty snappy upbeat number, even with the plodding piano section. Her vocal pace and hand noises makes ya wanna jiggle and gyrate at a speed. Love the conflict of the different rhythms. I can see how you would be more distanced on “Brown Hair”. I think men folk probably like it best. A man originally linked it at Pibgorn, and that’s the first I ever heard of Regina. She’s one of those offbeat artists like Alanis Morissette and Ani DiFranco of Buffalo, N.Y. She [Ani] has her own record company, Righteous Babe Records.-Pleasantly warm and sunny today. I did some more paint work, ran a couple errands and around 5 started my brakes replacement. I got the left front done and was running out of daylight, so will do the right one tomorrow. The rear brakes had been done not so long ago and are fine. I was gonna chance tripping with it, but got to thinking how between Charlotte and Houston how I might be unlucky to hear metal grindy noises. I have the luxury of time and weather so……-Lovely song. It speaks to me.-May your Wednesday be wonderful._______________________________________
Glad you enjoyed that song. I find it very catchy and I agree with you completely on Regina’s vocal pace and the different rhythms. I had never heard of her until yesterday. I liked ‘Consequence’ better because you could hear more of her voice (in my opinion anyway) Thank you for that link too! -I hope replacing the brakes don’t take up a lot of time as I’m sure you’ll want to get on with other stuff. -May your Wednesday be wonderful too.
I had/have an epson 1250 or summat which was great at everything. A unit/2-ago. But, ’can’t get a driver’ is what the Pro said. Saving for a donation to some Dinosaur platform or summat.
I remember a Benny Hill sketch when he was at a table in a bar singing “Twenty one today, twenty one today.” A man says, “In honor of your birthday, I’ll buy you a pint!” Benny drinks it down, and then starts singing “Twenty two today, twenty two today!” I somehow don’t think Andy could get away with that………….

On the bright side (if you call it a bright side), the man bought that very same pint for Andy.

I like this one ! I swear, given the right circumstances, I would do this in a heartbeat, just to see the bloke’s reaction.

Does anybody remember George W’s nickname for Carl Rove? (I am not going political). It’s just funny.

Whilst it’s true the 3 Gumbies consistently display cluelessness regarding Andy’s true nature, the same cannot be-said about Florrie:
