Correct me if I’m wrong – and I very well might be – but wasn’t it the case in the very early years of the strip that the anteater never got the ant? Once he did he became a far less interesting character in the strip.

yea I remember that liked it the Ant sounded like Dean Martin and the Aardvark sounded like Jackie Mason…remember the other segments of the show The Inspector and Misterjaw voiced by Arte Johnson???!!…Misterjaw was created as a way to cash in on the Jaws craze..there was another shark cartoon called Jabberjaw on ABC where he was in a rock band and sounded like Curly from the 3 Stooges

remember both the Ant and the Aardvark were both voiced by John Byner???!!!!
