We had a dentist where I grew up who would serve mini hotdogs. We’d alway hit his place halfway through.

I still remember getting those Baby Ruths and Butterfingers. I didn’t care much for the bubble gum though.

While I’m vegetarian for a year, my favorite suppers are chilli and bean salad. I have plenty of variations on both but I’m eating lots of beans daily (many different kinds). I alternate whole wheat pasta and egg white omelets for breakfasts (both with raw garlic). All very healthy, but there are some drawbacks ;-D

I gave chocolate bars on Halloween when doing it to entertain my birds (because the kids liked those best). Now I buy hard candies because they last if I still have some when I decide to quit for the night. I used to buy Butterfingers, 3 Musketeers and Heath. Now that I buy VERY plain dark chocolate for myself, hard candies are better for the kids.

I never had the sweet tooth other people had. When I got to be an adult and we rotated bringing snacks to recurring staff meetings, I always steered clear of the cookies and candy and brought beef jerky instead.

Something for you trick-or-treat passer-outers to think about.
