Don’t you just love being in a queue with one window open and three other tellers pretending they are doing something important that has to be done right now?

Now if the snail’s attitude were bad, then he’d fit right in for sure.

A while ago I was getting a license plate renewed and had gotten there just as it opened. The woman at the counter was quite nice, cheerful, and helpful. As I was leaving I overheard that it was her first day, so I figured that explained it.

Should be about time to shut the counter down and go on break, right?

I encountered her slow cousin at the local Social Security Administration office.

Last times I’ve been to the DMV it has gone well (although I may still go prepared with a book). They have even updated the emissions tests here with a web cam at each so you can SEE the wait line. Computers help with many tasks.

Working as I do at an office which has a DL office in it. I can say……the snail would not be used.It would be too fast and efficient. Humans can muck it up better.

Aaaaaargh! My blood pressure just jumped!

That was true in DeKalb County, Georgia but here in Salem, Oregon, they move right along and are courteous—I have no complaints.

This would be the DMV in my town.
