Considering US politics, and I profess to know very little how it all works, do the Senators continue to get paid during the shut-down?? If they do…WHY????
The crash happened on Bush’ watch, it was supposed to last a little longer. It was going to happen, that is how it was designed. Mortgage bundling was allowed by the government only after 9/11, they wanted to spread it around the world. As stated, minimum wage is “starting wage”. Places that do not give raises(fast food – they reward by giving more hours or the hours you might want) should be paying enough to live on. Many industries are designed this way. Their human resources department tell them that they do not need insurance, they make so little that it will be covered by the state. This means the government subsidizes fast food. That is crazy.
Maybe we should outlaw political parties and get rid of all politicians that belong to one. Starting over and making new laws temporary(if it is any good, they would have to do it all over). This would keep them busy with old laws, making them better and keeping them busy enough that there would not be time to make new, more intrusive ones.
Everyone arguing over Social Security when did it become an entitlement when most Americans have money taken out of their checks to finance it. Both parties have had a hand in dipping in to SS funds. Bottom line is Corporate interests are what drives our political process now. Montasanto Poison for our food supply. Jobs farmed out to the world. Lack of infastructure so roads and bridges fall into disarray and only when something happens do they attempt to “fix” the problem with a band-aid. They Deregulated the telecom industry in 83, Under Clinton they basically opened the door bringing us back to bascially where we were. There are only 3 major telecom companies AT&T, CenturyLink and Verizon with most work farmed out to othe countries. Train industry so far behind other countries. Compromise is needs but screwing with SS is not the way to go.

Id is obviously far removed from the USA because, with the US government in shut-down it would be impossible they had the time to post the notice.

Actually, some DO call it “free.”They know THEY aren’t paying and don’t care who else does.
And there are those who want more government services and even lower taxes, with no thought of a contradiction. .They just want OTHERS to pay more.
