Here’s the problem. TJ is the master chef…but he’s also the master upseller. Quill isn’t either a seller or a chef. No matter where TJ puts Quill, he won’t be as good as TJ.

Everybody starts out ignorant and unskilled. Don’t sell Quill short. He may turn out to be better than TJ at cooking. Then Luann will have more to worry about — a beau that wows ladies from the grill. Hmmm Quill Grill. Nice ring to that.

Then since “Pitts” isn’t but so large, they’ll have to be visiting some nearby cities, Like Toluca Lake, and that starts with “T”, which rhymes with “P”…..

Funny, didn’t MPQ tell everyone how he could cook as he was left on his own… NOW he’s saying he can’t cook? Apparently, Mr Perfect isn’t just a bad cook, but, a poor liar!

    Huh, questions:

WHY does Pretty Boy need a “Job”??

And WHO on Earth suggested He go to work for the Master Con Artist?

Not that I CARE, of Course. Heck, between Ma Berger Force-Feeding Him Unhealthly Foods and Old Smiley taking Advantage of Him, Q-Ball hasn’t Spent much time with Lu.AWAKE, that is. And THATS a GOOD Thing.

But STILL, This Story-Line Progression seems a bit “Odd” IMHO.

Oh, and Someone MIGHT wanna “Hip” Pretty-Boy to the Fact that if something goes WRONG, He and NOT Old Smiley, is gonna end up TAKING the BLAME.

    Just ASK Brad……,

Versatility. That’s key. Learn all aspects of the business, Quill. Then, when TJ sloughs off, you can take over….

Quill took a job at which he admits he will be lousy. This is what happens when you take a job “off the books” in violation of your visa. You have no legitimate employment options, to pick a different job that you would do better.

Sales Rep. goes into a new business: “I’d like to speak to the owner of this store.”`Clerk: “Sorry, he not in right now.”`Sales Rep.: “When do you expect him back?”`Clerk: “Not until tomorrow morning, maybe. Right now, he’s probably out playing golf.”`Sales Rep.: “He left you in charge?”`Clerk: “Yeah. Anything I can do for you?”`Sales Rep.: “No.”`Question: Do you believe this store (or “TJ’s Café”) will still be in business one year from now?

In real life Quill would start out on the window and would do some cooking under supervision when things were slow. Wouldn’t be as funny though.

Swap coming. TJ cooks & Quill works the window/customers. Only questions are how and when it will happen.

Again, I also submit “Smoke On The Water” as a possible outcome for this… (…"with a mobile …. " and also “…some stupid with a flare gun…”) with perhaps a fire in the van, the same way “Arnold’s” had one on “Happy Days”…

The practical thing would be for Quill to start with cleanup and prep (he surely could learn to slice & dice), with some window work. However, that wouldn’t be funny enough…

That seems like a good reason why TJ is tired of cooking all of the time… he misses his “munny” friends, like George and Abe and Andrew and Alex and wants to spend more time with them…

TJ, you con’t train someone to cook or ride a bike or work a machine by giving him an instruction manual— however thorough.*You work WITH him/her. Side-by-side, gradually letting the person do more of the task.*Quill can only learn by doing— and hel’ll learn much faster if you work along with him..

BTW, Quill should have known that if he worked in a food truck or restaurant, he’d have to cook!

“Reverse rolls. Q take money, TJ cook.”--I agree, but TJ knows Quill is honest and will not be able to upsell and rip off the customers. But, TJ is wrong, as Teresa said, he will attract many more customers. ’course Levi gave the bottom line.

Thanks for the link to the chefwear site. I was wondering about the strange little hats, too. But I think, on the whole, I’d prefer that they wear hairnets for sanitary reasons. The little hats won’t keep their hair out of the food.

Hitler didn’t help found Volkswagen. The car was developed by Porsche, a well established company. Hitlers desire to have a Peoples car may well have started the project rolling, but that’s the extent of it. I suppose you expect people to stop driving on the Interstates once people find out that they were inspired by Hitlers Autobahns.
