Did you see my reaction to me nails SUSAN? They are fabulous. I don’t know how you did it. Really. Have no clue. They just look great. Perfect for October.
I tried to learn Thai, but the 46 or so consonants and the rising, falling high, medium and low tones just got too much for my linguistically challenged brain. I did like the simple verb forms, though……
@Linguist….Hope it’s a good one. I quite fancy some tequila myself (without the gimmicky salt and lime)..Haven’t tried Mescal, the dead thing in the bottle puts me off. Is it a similar taste to tequila?
To All My Friends On Ballard StreetThank yo !u for making this birthday a memorable one. You are all very special people and I cannot thank you enough for all your love and kindness.I’m on the way to the hospital for my final post-op check up so I don’t have time at this moment to thank you all individually but I will…later.Save some of those goodies for me ! I’ll be back. And again Thank You I LOVE YOU ALL !
GO GO FOR IT SEYMOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You can do it. Just puff up super big turn sideways and hiss your ass off!!!!!!!!!!!!You know you wanna do it…….BUST A MOVE!!!!Happy Birthday one and all having one or two or just holding the count. Have a super spiffy day or night depending on what part of the world you view my post.
I think the invite must still be in my email (I don’t think I opened it yesterday and was frozen in FB most of the day). I tried to opt out of a lot of the add-ons that I have on my IE (though did not yet go into control panel and un-install). I shut down the PC at 8 last night and just switched on now (with Skype asking to be updated).
I need to go squeeze my last 1/2 lime (meaning groceries today) now and try to put together something (if I’m lucky I’ll get it done before Ling shows up).
OK, just read the 2nd page of comments and see that everything has been done (and much better than I could- Bevs’s cake and Happy’s pole dance and the animation from X_Tech – just getting that last frame of a real video to align with text on curve of the sail! MARVELOUS! Once I get the bugs out of this PC, I’ve a lot to practice. I’m really not awake without my juice (too bad those virtual ones above will do me no good).
@PColli, I’ve heard of tequila with a worm (never tried it). I had some drinks of Mescal back in my working days in Mexico (for Zenith) as I remember, it just had more of the strong taste (like the less refined tequila, which I prefer to clear). As to putting scorpions in stuff (that’s silliness for tourists). Here in AZ they do fried scorpions and chocolate dipped scorpions every year at the state fair. Not for me! I may pick up some Mescal when this year is done (just to try it and have handy in my big pantry).
I hope this one has not been linked yet (I sometimes miss a link when reading comments) First HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR A PIRATEand this one is mixed in with a little kid, but quite cleverly done 2nd Play Here
I’m glad that Linguist is fine and just going for a final checkup- glad that Matilda is there to be sure he takes care, in any case. And I hope they both enjoy all the songs, food and drink with plenty of virtual Birthday Cake (the best kind).
I see that The first Birthday song I chose was already posted by Bev near the beginning; hope everyone enjoyed the second one, even though the party was for a little kid.
As to other Pirate music, Ray Stevens referred to, but did not use any of the Pirates of Penzance. This first one is more like Pirate Music. But this other is one of the G&S Patter Songs that are such a Linguist’s trial(rather a tongue twister).Anglophile that I am, I have sung much G&S (Mikado is such fun). I LOVED the last time I saw it at Phoenix Opera (even though I went alone). He has taken me to many operas at Lyric in Chicago.
Muchas Gracias Amigo. Just found out however, that patience ( which I have a scant supply of ) is a virtue and I am going to have to have a lot because this eye thing is NOT a one week wonder. Bev. didn’t tell me that it is quite a long healing process.
For anyone I missed, I apologize. I am only going to be allowed a half hour a day on the computer for a while and I think my time on the eye meter has expired. Thanks to you all again.BCNU !!

Hi pcolli….
I’m still up, having trouble with the cake decorations….
Would you like a beer? Yak rib?Hardtack?Grog?
SusanSunshine Premium Member about 11 years ago
Oh… tequila it is….
I don’t drink Mezcal, cos I don’t like looking at the worm either.
LOL
It’s similar to Tequila… but more like cognac is to brandy…. it has a sort of smoked flavor.
Mezcal is a controlled appellation… it HAS to be made in Mexico, all agave… Tequila doesn’t.
