That kid looks a lot like Pinocchio.

This is who Pinnochio is: http://www.ask.com/web?qsrc=1&o=ffx&l=dir&q=+Pinnochio&qo=serpSearchTopBox

Maybe then you’ll get the joke about today’s character wanting to be a real boy.

The boy IS Pinocchio – he should have been glad to be wooden – that way he could only worry about dry rot and termites…

Not sure why people get such big debts, I went to college part time, worked full time…took me twice as long to graduate but I graduated with no debt. I only used scholarships and grants, no loans to pay back.

I thought the trade off of no debt was better than getting done in half the time. A friend who didn’t work and got a job faster than me has a ton of debt.

Education is just like any other commodity, you don’t buy a car you can’t afford, you don’t buy a education you can’t afford, especially in a career you can’t find a job in.

Make a list of in demand jobs and then choose from there, don’t just pick whatever you want. That is if you want to get a job in your choosen field, otherwise people will be stuck working at a crappy job with student loans and no way to get a job they are qualified for.

I think the play on words was College Loan debt was what made a kid real, not having a flesh and blood body. It would be more of a wry joke to those parents with kids in college debt. Ignore the Trolls, enjoy the day.

" it was the comment on the cartoon, I didn’t understand…" Damn, you mean I’m not alone? :-D It didn’t make any point but wasn’t worth comment, in my humble opinion.

I only had one scholarship via work, which didn’t even cover half a year, employee scholarship program. I only got one pell grant too, which didn’t cover half a year either, so out of 8 years one could say that almost 1 year was covered at no charge to me, rest was pay as I go. Loans for me going part time was problematic at best.
