With parts of this electorate, governing is just useless. Would rather destroy the country than fix it.

I don’t know how good a senator he was, but he makes an insufficient rug

Need a meat ax to “fix” the government; we need less governing and more individual responsibility and freedom. Outside the military I see only waste.

Although congress would be taking the hit on this one, It is my opinion that corporations should not have the opportunity or ability to contribute to political campaigns for the singular purpose to sway support for corporate favors. If those contributions went anywhere, it should be to reduce the national debt, not buy another greedy, megalomaniacal and egotistical politician. If someone wants to run for a political office, they should be able to turn in a resume and wait their turn for an interview. This should also be followed up with the ability to have their jobs terminated without galactic pensions.

Have seen posts to the effect of: President X (FDR, JFK, LBJ. RMN, RWR, GHWB, WJC, or GWB) started the power grab President Obama is just continuing it. Why can’t the current President stop or even reverse the trend?

Side note – Spell check lets the first three sets of initials go by, but flags the rest as misspelled.

I offer a strictly neutral opinion. Check out Parkinson’s Laws and their corollaries. It doesn’t matter who’s in charge. Once an organization, or Government gets past a critical mass, things always get out of hand. The end result is “Absolute power corrupts, absolutely.” The scary part is there are no penalties for government abuse. The bean counters are insulated from prosecution. When was the last time any bean counter went to jail for malfeasance?
