It really DOES help to have a pleasant view during the day. Back when I spent most daylight hours in my cubicle, I always put a photo of my garden up as my wallpaper on the screen. I still always have a personal photo up – Right now I still have fall color with the lovely Cuddles in a bright orange tree (and changed the surrounding background to a paler orange/peach that is easy on the eyes). When recently done, I also liked to use my paintings, but I pass by those in the living room upstairs.
I am very sensitive to temperature and really don’t like to see snow even in photos as the winter approaches. @DrToon, I have some of LaffinLarry’s little GIFs on my desktop too – hidden under the sticky note where I keep HTML code for pasting. ;-D
