Cats are curious, and sometimes, incredibly inventive. One of mine figured out how to poke a claw into the little hole in the middle of the bathroom doorknob, unlock the door, and then disturb my private meditations on the porcelain throne.
We had one, now passed, that could 1) turn on the TV when he was bored and 2) ring the doorbell when he wanted back in from the porch.I caught another one just yesterday teaching a younger one how to open kitchen drawers.

Maybe it has figured out how to open the door, it has its human servants open the door.

Our cat just waits for her staff to do menial tasks for her.

Just hiding the official electric blanket passcode so Ludwig won’t run up the electric bill.

Now that we have those levers instead of knobs, our cat reaches up and hangs from the lever and his body weight swings the door open.

Thank goodness they don’t have opposable thumbs or we humans would REALLY be their slaves!

: ) To see what would happen if cats had opposable thumbs, click here (a day-brightening commercial from Cravendale milk)

Oh, wow! That explains why I find the electric blanket turned on at 3 pm!

Never forget Arlo’s observation to Ludwig that, “If I were small enough to fit in your lap, you’d eat me.”

Qun Mang: In cases like that, only let it back in through the cat door. After awhile, they will get the connection.

I’ve got 2 cats that I have to lock out of the office when I clean my duty weapon, they’re that smart!
