The 4th was already being eroded (eg; property forfeiture for merely being accused of crime) before 9/11, but when we (stupidly) gave up more of it for the illusion of a little security, we handed the terrorists a victory.
My brother used to tell me the original title was 1948…..BTW, the year 2,000 doesn’t sound that futuristic any more does it? Man, that was the gold standard for referring to the future for a while there…..
Signs like this actually do exist—not yet for the fourth amendment, but for the first. I have seen “Designated Free Speech Zone” signs in public places such as national parks (generally in out-of-the-way corners, to assure that nobody will actually see or hear you speaking freely).
only a country that re-elected a president that was never elected would elect a person without a birth certificate. We better not complain about it, because if we all agree on either, it could make both available for re election.George Orwell saw these things coming in post WWII “free world” countries. What is sad here is that as victors, we English speaking countries took over Hitler’s helm in many ways.
Our defense is in the spirit which prized liberty as the heritage of all men, in all lands everywhere. Destroy this spirit and you have planted the seeds of despotism at your own doors.
As a citizen of the UK, I am of the opinion that those who determine policy and dictate laws, should live like the rest of us, have no expenses and earn an average wage. Then we might begin to think that they’re really concerned about the populace in general..This applies to ALL countries.

And making themselves exempt from the Affordable Healthcare Law may not seem like much on the face of it, but sets an extremely bad precedent.
