That’s a really good line when someone asks you: “Where are we?”… “Right where you are!”, ha ha! -Or when someone says: "What’s up?‘.. plenty of choices to answer with: the ceiling, maybe taxes and prices… a TV antenna (well, it used to be…), a direction…. – I had an friend that, when you said; “See you later!”, they would say: "Well, if you turn around, you’ll see me right now!"…
I see that Mickey Mouse came back for a daring repeat appearance (this time on the TV), but who’s the guy wearing the red bandit mask just below Nancy’s skirt? I know most of the stuff BEFORE my time, so maybe this is some character from AFTER my time….
Annie, Beetle Bailey, Bugs, TV with Mickey’s ears, Hagar the Horrible, Dennis the Menace, Woody Woodpecker, Mighty Mouse, Casper, king Kong unsure of the masked man. Hey Guy who is the masked man in the trenchcoat?
Seeing Little Orphan Annie reminded me of this. During an on campus talk, cartoonist Al Capp took audience questions and a female student complained asking why he drew many of his female characters with large breasts. Capp responded by saying, Because i like large breasts. If you want to see small breasts read Orphan Annie.
A great walk down memory lane. For more cross-over cartoons, go to Gasoline Alley on April 10, 2013 and click foreward for a month or sowith the invitation to the old cartoons home party.
That is definitely The Shadow! I have 178 pulp magazines,30 or 40 paperbacks, 10 or 12 hardcovers & over 100 radioshows on cassettes, so I know The Shadow when I see Him!

For the record, it’s “Here I come to save the day”, not “Here I am…” -No matter where you go, there you are.

Or. as is written in Carl Franz’ “People’s Guide to Mexico” (best travel book EVER, hands down): Wherever you go, there you are.

Only thing missing is Andy Kaufman lip synching the 1 line from the Mighty Mouse theme song! ☺

@KaffeKup King Kong in the upper far left today. Not sure of the trench coat up front but The Shadow sounds right.
