Good thing it was a Jade plant! Just feed and water what’s left and then get four more pots and place each broken leaf on top of the soil. Voila! Arlo has four more plants to get a kiss under.

They aren’t retired. Arlo works in an office. I’m not sure what Janis does. The strip is about their home life, not their work life, so it doesn’t come up all that much.

see how nice it is when you don’t have family or friends to deal with during the holidays or any time in A & J’s case. their were strips in years past where they would show them at work in an office setting. now the just spend all their time at home by themselves after work. unless they have a suicide pact one will be able to not even bother with the demands of another person. alone again naturally . just like Scrooge.

BTW, I just read the “ooh,” “oo” comments from a day or so ago. My take is that “ooh” is the same as “oh [but prolonged],” and “oo” rhymes with “too”.

I figured about this time of year we would hear more about the kids coming for a visit. But, I was also wrong about the boat this past summer. I know this strip is about Janis and Arlo, folks but, isn’t it getting a bit boring with just them?
