@AlnicoV: Some wiseacre has published a study claiming that late term fetal music experience is remembered after birth, so it just might be possible for twins to produce harmony as infants, if they’d been exposed to close harmony music in utero.
One parenting guide reminded me that no baby ever injured itself by crying. If they’re fed, are wearing clean diapers and not in danger, it’s OK to let them cry. Sometimes when trying to adjust their sleep habits, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Most mothers can tell the difference in their baby’s cries of whether it is in need or not. It’s the middle of the night, she fed and probably diapered so give it a minute to allow the babies to settle themselves.
Neither belief nor doubt creates reality.Experiment discovers aspects of reality. And let us not forget that in comics, fetuses frequently think in complete sentences and comminicate with each other. This irritates those vested in the idea that the unborn are unhuman up until the instant of birth. It’s easier to kill them at every stage of development if they can deny the possibility.
The theory behind letting the baby cry goes back to the extreme emphasis earlier on conditioning the baby by feeding only on a fixed schedule, putting him to bed to sleep on a fixed schedule etc. to avoid spoiling the child. Dr. Spock was the Geat Liberator who told mothers to believe in their own instincts and teach the child that his needs would be met; when that trust is established, she can begin the slower process of adjusting her schedule to his and his to hers. (Pronouns here are assigned to keep things simple;each parent cares for each child independent of gender.)

Daddy is so proud!

Scary as it sounds, many twins are born knowing how to do this.

I wish GT liked to draw Alex and Leo cuddling. Just cuddling, that’s all I ask, instead of sleeping so far apart.
