The memorial was also not a funeral. At the moment the photo was taken, people were dancing, laughing and singing.

Actually, it was at the memorial service, and not a selfie. But other than that, kinda right.
Even Jon Stewart commented on the ‘Daily Show’ following a rant castigating conservatives who went apoplectic over President Obama shaking Raul Castro’s hand that the the selfie, “Yeah, that’s f#%&ed up”.
I don’t think President Obama would be want to be caught attending a Catholic service with white clergy.
