Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling Harvey Richards Lawyer for Children 1-800-KKidLaw The Extra "K" is for Extra Kounsel Harvey: ...so I ask him to send me a retainer, and the brat mails me THIS slobbery thing! Secretary: Mr. Richards, Joey Kirk is on line 2. Trouble at the Elm Playground. Harvey: Tell him I'll be right there! Harvey: What's the problem, Joey? Joey: I found this cool old truck behind that fence! Joey: But Larry O'Neil says it's HIS! He's just a big, fat LIAR! Harvey: Ordinarily, I'd say that even if the truck WAS his, under the "FINDERS KEEPERS, LOSERS WEEPERS" doctrine, it's now lawfully yours! Joey: Right! It's an open-and-shut case! Harvey: But in this case, I advise you to HAND THE TRUCK OVER TO HIM! Joey: WHAT? Harvey: Look at him, Joey! He's a BRUTE! He'll pound you into PULP! Harvey: A lawyer must consider not only LEGAL factors, but PRACTICAL ones as well...and I'd say you'd better give that truck to Larry NOW! Joey: THAT'S NOT FAIR! Harvey: Need I cite the classic doctrine, "LIFE'S not fair!" I'll send you my bill --

I’m not sure what that “slobbery thing” is, but I wouldn’t be handling it like that.

@steverino
The truck is actually just a cool, old truck. That one’s tricky.
However:
Slobbery retainer = Obama

Following kapock’s analogy, I’d think that the obvious choice is truck = money (or maybe other assets such as housing).

jtpozenel, that thing is a kid’s retainer, part of the gear for straightening crooked teeth. And the lawyer was dumb enough not to specify just what kind of retainer he meant. Great gag!
