A hotel in Zanzibar, Africa, has a suite that floats in the sea and has an underwater bedroom! In the 2nd century A.D.- the city of Hatra, Iraq, fought off a Roman army by dropping clay pots filled with poisonous scorpions down from its walls. The Danish Nobel prize-winning physicist Niels Bohr lived on the grounds of the Carlsberg Brewery in Copenhagen and received a lifetime supply of beer from them.

One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. and here’s how it went:Well ya see, Norm, it’s like this… A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.
In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That’s why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

A local nuthouse had on their billboard: Who need’s health care when you have Jesus. (I am not making that up.) But Bohr’s lifetime supply of free beer has gotta be a topper!

Picky, picky, picky, @aimlesscruzr is talking about American BUFFALO. They are buffalo by common usage since the 18th (?) century. If they were bison then a city in western New York would be “Bison” instead of Buffalo.

Pretty sure Cliff Clavin would be referring to the American bison also commonly known as the American buffalo.

How do you say “Luckiest man on the face of the earth” in Danish?

You got that right! Reminds me of a song I heard years ago. “The Drunker I Get The Better They Look”.
